What are SLI codes?
Quote from Guest on March 4, 2019, 9:01 pmSLI – Service Location Indicator. Practically speaking, an SLI is a three letter (capital letters) code OHIP may require to be included on the claim. Only include an SLI code if you have been instructed to do so. Most times instructions come in as an explanation for a claim that may have been paid (RA), or rejected (Error report).
An example of an SLI is HIP, that stands for Hospital Inpatient. More detailed information can be found in MOHLTC’s OHIP Bulletin 11-022 (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/pro/programs/ohip/bulletins/technical/11_002.pdf)
If you are required to include an SLI in your claims the above PDF is an excellent guide.
