BILL K088A & K087A, Non-OHIP Eligible Patients, CORRECTLY !
If you are getting nowhere with your K088A and K087A rejections then this article is for you.
For K088A and K087A, OHIP is allowing doctors to bill patients with no Provincial or Canadian coverage, that is, unidentifiable patients. The only requirement is a recording of the encounter, in a chart. The patient being unidentified, (last and first names are unusable for OHIP), results in a non-patient-specific claim. Those of you who’ve billed “bonus codes” will be able to relate.
